See it in action.

One matching marker, two light strokes along the grain, and the pale scratch blends back into the oak. The whole fix takes less time than finding the sandpaper.

Before and after: fine scratches on an oak table edge, then hidden with a matching marker

Before. After.
One stroke.

A fresh scratch catches the light and pulls the eye straight to it. Run the closest shade along the mark, wipe off any excess, and it fades into the surrounding grain.

No sanding, no refinishing, no calling in a pro.

All 12 marker shades with names, from White and Bamboo to Chestnut and Black

A shade for every
wood finish.

Light oak table? Start with Bamboo or Oak. Dark walnut dresser? Reach for Walnut or Coffee. Layer two shades for an even closer match.

Close-up of the blade-cut fiber tips: even ink flow, smooth strokes

Blade-cut fiber tip.

The slanted, blade-cut tip spreads ink evenly, so every stroke goes on smooth and streak-free.

Use the narrow edge for hairline scratches and the broad face to cover worn corners and edges.

Hides scratches, scuffs, worn edges and chipped edges
Works on furniture, floors, doors and trim, cabinets, stairs, guitars, crafts and restaurant tables
Four steps: clean, test your shade, apply lightly, blend and let dry

Fixed in four
simple steps.

  1. Wipe the area clean and let it dry.
  2. Test your shade on a hidden spot.
  3. Draw along the scratch, following the grain.
  4. Wipe off the excess with a soft cloth and let it dry.

Several light layers give a better match than one heavy stroke.

FAQs

What is in the box?+

12 furniture touch-up markers, one in each shade: White, Bamboo, Peach Wood, Oak, Maple, Gray, Sienna Brown, Walnut, Coffee, Reddish Brown, Chestnut and Black, in a clear storage case.

Which marks does it work on?+

Surface scratches, scuffs, worn edges and small chips on finished wood. The markers add color; they do not fill. For deep gouges or nail holes, fill with wood filler first, then color to match.

How do I pick the right shade?+

Start with a shade slightly lighter than your wood and test on a hidden spot. You can always add a darker layer; it is harder to lighten one. Results vary with the wood and its finish.

Where can I use them?+

On finished wood: furniture, floors, doors and trim, cabinets, stairs, instruments and craft pieces. Work in a ventilated area and replace the caps after use.

I didn't want a thick painted patch on the table. A light pass followed the scratch and let the existing grain show. Looks much better at normal distance.

The chisel tip made it easier to follow a narrow scratch on a chair rail. I used the corner of it rather than the whole flat edge. Much more control that way.

Our desk gets used hard. These helped color a few light marks near the drawers. No dramatic makeover, just a nicer looking piece of furniture.

Our coffee table has plenty of wear. This toned down the little pale scuffs along the edge without making it look freshly painted. The deeper marks are still there, which is fine.

The first brown I tried looked warmer on our furniture than the cap suggested. Another shade was closer. Useful, but finding the right color took longer than I expected.

Found a good match for the small scratches on our dark side table. You can still feel the scratches, but they don't stand out as pale lines now.

The black marker helped with tiny pale chips along my desk edge. It adds color rather than filling them, but that's enough to make the edge look more even.

Dusted and wiped the nightstand before doing the little scuffs near the drawer. A few careful strokes helped a lot. Still an old nightstand, just less beat up looking.

The white helped on a small cosmetic scuff on our finished cabinet door. I let the test patch dry first. It blends in well enough that I stopped noticing it.

The dresser was fine except for white scratches around the handles. Tested a couple shades underneath first and found one close enough. Looks a lot tidier in the bedroom.

Useful to have a range of shades on hand. The pens are easy to store and I like being able to grab one for a small mark instead of starting a bigger project.

Found a close shade for the edge of a bamboo-look shelf. Didn't need much. Wiped away the excess and the pale spot is much less noticeable.
